Why did you want to enter The Revo’s?
We entered The Revo’s because they represent the gold standard for innovation, collaboration, and impact across retail, leisure and placemaking. Costa Del Croydon embodies those principles — it’s more than an event; it’s a creative, community-driven activation that reimagines how underused urban spaces can bring people together.
The project transformed a shopping centre rooftop into a thriving seaside escape, offering free access to thousands of local families during the summer. Entering The Revo’s allows us to showcase how retail environments can evolve into meaningful, inclusive destinations that deliver genuine social value while supporting commercial success.
What makes your entry standout?
Costa Del Croydon stands out because it’s an imaginative and purpose-driven placemaking initiative that turned a car park rooftop into a joyful, community-focused experience — blending creativity, accessibility and commercial strategy.
It demonstrated that great retail spaces aren’t just about transactions, but about connection, belonging and wellbeing. In just two years, it’s become a celebrated summer destination, achieving:
• Over 25,000 visitors in 2025
• +62% increase in social engagement year-on-year
• 113M+ media reach, with features on ITV’s This Morning and The Sun
• Highly Commended at the Sceptre Awards, and Gold and Bronze wins at Solal and Drum Awards
It’s proof that even modest spaces can make a major impact when creativity, community and collaboration come together.
How do you envision the future of your industry, and how do you hope to contribute to it?
The future of our industry lies in experiential, community-first destinations — spaces that blend retail, leisure and culture to create places people genuinely want to be. As the retail landscape continues to evolve, we believe success will come from relevance and relationships: activating spaces that serve social purpose as much as commercial performance.
Through initiatives like Costa Del Croydon, we’re helping shape this future — using creativity and collaboration to transform perceptions, drive footfall, and create shared value for both people and place. Our goal is to make every visit feel meaningful, memorable and rooted in local community spirit.
What one word best summarises your entry?
Joyful – Because at its heart, Costa Del Croydon is about bringing joy to people and places — and showing that with imagination and purpose, even a car park rooftop can become the highlight of summer
