Why did you want to enter The Revo’s?

The Purple Apples/The Revo’s recognise and celebrate those who are pushing boundaries and leading the charge within retail destinations. Following the absence of these awards for the last three years, it is an opportunity to celebrate and network with peers, whilst discovering the breadth of work taking place up and down the UK.

What makes your entry standout?

Men make up 75% of all deaths by suicide and is the biggest cause of male deaths under 50. 40% of men won’t talk about their mental health with their friends or family.

HuMAN was a series of anonymous stories from men of all ages sharing how they struggled with their mental health. Every story submitted was printed and displayed as a visual representation of how many men struggle, often in silence. With stories of relationship struggles, baby loss, anxiety, depression and much more, HuMAN encouraged conversation yet also raised awareness that men are not alone in what they feel.

How do you envision the future of your industry, and how do you hope to contribute to it?

The old strategy of ‘build it and they will come’ does not work, it hasn’t for years. The importance of community is paramount in the success of destinations. However, community is more than supporting local charities, it is linking with likeminded people and connecting them with spaces. Churchill Square is committed to continuing to drive Diversity & Inclusion, ESG, Social Value, and Customer Experience, all which form the fabric of the Churchill Square brand.
