Why did you want to enter The Revo’s?
The centre team at Gunwharf Quays have spent the last few years post-COVID, repositioning the centre for the future. All members of the team have worked together, with a strong focus on our strategic direction – putting our guests at the heart of everything we do. This has not been easy, and the centre team have been amazing. As such, I entered the team for this award, as I am keen for them to get the external recognition they deserve. The Revo’s gives the best possible platform for this recognition, as the awards are judged by the very best in our industry.
What makes your entry standout?
At Gunwharf Quays, we have not just focused on one change, or one area of our business. Our changes, which have delivered significant and measurable positive impact for our customers and our guests over the last year, have impacted the entire team. Our whole mindset has changed, and everyone in our team understands what we are striving for, with measures in place so that we can see the results.
How do you envision the future of your industry, and how do you hope to contribute to it?
The future of our industry is bright, providing we are constantly evolving, being agile in our approach, continually testing and trialling new ideas, and understanding our changing customer and guest needs. Shopping centres will become destinations, and far more mixed use, giving people the chance to get together and connect.
We, alongside other prime retail destinations, are integral in contributing to this ongoing success. By continuing to understand our customers and guests, and by being brave in our approach to change, we can evolve our centres into must visit destinations – keeping them relevant and sustainable well into the future.
What one word best summarises your entry?
