Why did you want to enter The Revo’s?

We entered The Revo’s to showcase the Breaking Barriers Sensory Garden, a groundbreaking community initiative developed in partnership with Breaking Barriers North West. This project exemplifies our commitment to inclusivity, sustainability and community wellbeing. Through the sensory garden, we hope to inspire others to reimagine neglected spaces as vibrant, accessible, and educational environments that serve diverse community needs.

What makes your entry standout?

Our entry stands out due to its unique combination of inclusivity, environmental stewardship and community engagement. By transforming an unused rooftop into a sensory-rich garden and educational hub, we created a space that welcomes everyone, including individuals with disabilities. It’s a celebration of biodiversity, mental well-being and local heritage, showcasing what’s possible when community collaboration meets innovative design.

How do you envision the future of your industry, and how do you hope to contribute to it?

We envision a future where community spaces prioritise accessibility, ecological responsibility and social impact, fostering connections between people, nature and local history. Our goal is to contribute to this vision by expanding inclusive programming, offering workshops on sustainability and supporting urban greening projects that serve diverse groups. We aim to inspire other shopping centers to integrate similar spaces, strengthening their role as community hubs.

What one word best summarises your entry?

Transformative.
