Why did you want to enter The Revo’s?
The Revos is a truly aspirational award, and entering Team of the Year allows us to showcase our Team’s commitment, celebrate the positive impact we’re making, and stand alongside others who are pushing the sector forward.
At a time when the sector faces increasing pressures, we are committed to fostering a sense of pride, credibility, and optimism within the industry, and the Revo’s is the perfect platform to come together to recognise and celebrate our collective and incredible contributions.
What makes your entry standout?
What makes our entry stand out is the essence of our team: powered by a shared purpose, ‘to be the best we can be’. Which is the mindset that fuels bold innovation, genuine inclusivity, relentless resilience, and outstanding delivery in everything we do.
Our team excels because we stretch, challenge, and improve accepted processes. We look beyond “how things are done” and focus on “how things could be done” for our customers, our occupiers, and our community.
Whether tackling rising crime, responding to emerging needs, or elevating the customer experience, we turn ambition into action, and action into results.
Our innovations make a real human difference. The Meadowhall Security Forum, AI-enabled Appearance Search, and the transformative Customer Hub show how we turn challenges into pioneering solutions. These aren’t just operational upgrades; they safeguard people, champion inclusivity, and set new sector benchmarks.
At our core, we are collaborative and we care. Our approach to safety, wellbeing, sustainability, and social value is proactive and purpose-led, rooted in the belief that everyone who enters Meadowhall deserves to feel safe, welcomed, and valued.
And the outcomes speak for themselves: rising visitor numbers, increasing sales, exceptional customer satisfaction, outstanding occupier trust, and sector-leading social and environmental impact.
We think big and move at pace, delivering life-saving CFR interventions, turning unused space into vital inclusive facilities, innovating new systems for safety and accessibility, and creating cultural moments that bring our community together.
Our entry stands out because it reflects a team that never settles. We aspire, we evolve, and we deliver; however, this is not for ‘recognition’ (although a win for the team would be incredible), but because we genuinely care about creating a destination that pushes the industry forward and leaves a positive mark on everyone we serve.
We embody adaptability, dedication, and progress; delivering excellence that is both measurable and meaningful.
How do you envision the future of your industry, and how do you hope to contribute to it?
The future of the retail and shopping centre industry lies in responsiveness, relevance, and reinvention. Our sector must evolve into dynamic, customer-centric destinations that meet not just the needs but the growing expectations of increasingly diverse audiences.
This means being deeply attuned to customer behaviour and creating experiences that feel personalised, seamless, and meaningful.
A key part of that future is stronger, more dynamic partnerships with occupiers and we aim to contribute by providing agile, innovative support that helps them thrive.
Safety and security will remain critical to the industry’s resilience. We strive to lead the way on sector-shaping initiatives that promote peace of mind for customers and occupiers alike, using technology, training, and partnership models to create centres that are not only welcoming but demonstrably safe.
Ultimately, we see the challenges facing retail shopping centres, not as obstacles but as opportunities to adapt, innovate, and evolve – for the betterment of our customers and partners.
Our role is to embrace change with ambition, creativity, and accountability, but above all, we will continue championing retail and shopping centres as vital contributors to economic growth, providers of credible and diverse career opportunities, and powerful anchors for community cohesion.
The future of the industry is vibrant, inclusive, and full of potential and we are committed to leading, shaping, and delivering that future.
