Dr Suran Goonatilake OBE, UCL Centre for Artificial Intelligence, University College London (UCL)

Suran is a Visiting Professor at the UCL Centre for Artificial Intelligence, one of the leading global centres for AI research. As a PhD student at UCL, Suran co-founded an AI company called Searchspace that spots ‘patterns’ of money-laundering and insider-dealing at banks and stock exchanges (acquired by Warburg Pincus). He is also co-founder of Bodymetrics, a company that body-maps you head-to-toe, allowing personalised fashion experiences. Suran has been featured in Ad Age’s Creativity 50 and was made an officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2005.

Rebecca Morter, Founder & CEO, Lone Design Club

Rebecca Morter is the Founder and CEO of Lone Design Club, a pioneering platform revolutionising the retail industry through technology and innovation. By combining data-driven insights with creative strategies, Rebecca is transforming how brands access physical retail spaces and how landlords repurpose these spaces for modern, agile use. Her mission is to make retail more accessible, sustainable, and impactful, empowering independent brands to connect with customers in meaningful ways.

Lone Design Club has launched over 110 pop-up activations and developed a cutting-edge retail management platform that enables landlords and brands to optimise space utilisation, track consumer behaviour, and drive engagement. She is passionate about revitalising high streets and creating opportunities for both established and emerging brands to thrive in a dynamic retail landscape.

A ‘Future Retail’ thought leader, Rebecca regularly speaks on topics such as retail innovation, the role of data in transforming retail, and adaptive reuse of retail spaces. Her expertise has been featured in leading publications including Forbes, Vogue, and The Business of Fashion, having built a reputation as a visionary at the intersection of technology, design, and the future of retail.

 

Vivienne King, Founder and Managing Director of Impactful Places and Revo Operating Board Member

Over 30 years’ leadership experience in the real estate industry with a track record advocating for environmental and social sustainability. As the former CEO of Revo, the membership organisation for retail property, she supported development of Revo’s Social Value Framework. Prior to 2020, she was CEO of Soho Housing Association providing affordable homes and supporting local needs in London’s West End. With over 20 years at the Crown Estate, as a member of the senior team she was responsible for leadership of its ESG corporate strategy and its innovative measurement tool – Total Contribution. A co-founder of Real Estate Balance, she has been working with industry leaders to drive cultural change and improve equality, diversity and inclusion in real estate.

Ellen Peters, Property Director UK&I, LUSH Cosmetics

Looking to further develop relationships and positively impact the property industry and support the growth of retail, Ellen is President of the Property Managers Association.

Bruce Findlay, Managing Director for Retail at Landsec

Bruce joined Landsec in December 2020 as Managing Director for Retail. Bruce has over 25 years of consumer brand experience where he’s developed his operational leadership and strategic management skills. He brings a global perspective from his most recent roles; Chief Commercial Officer of Furla and prior to that as the VP Global Retail for Diesel, where he led the brand’s Direct to Consumer business through its transformation from a traditional wholesale manufacturer to a modern Omni-channel retailer.

Sarah Ratcliffe, CEO at Better Buildings Partnership

Sarah is CEO of the BBP. Sarah has over 15 years experience advising many of the UK’s leading property investors and developers on sustainability issues. As a founding Director of Upstream (acquired by JLL in 2007), she was instrumental in establishing some of the earliest sector sustainability benchmarks including the Property Environment Group, NextGeneration and The Third Dimension. As a European Director at JLL Sarah was responsible for leading the firm’s sustainability consultancy in UK and Europe and sat on the Global Sustainability Board. In addition to various independent consultancy projects, Sarah is now a Board Director of the Sustainable Development Foundation.  

Dan Parr, Senior Vice President at CACI Ltd and Revo Operating Board Member

Dan has over 25 years of experience in working in consumer and place analytics. That knowhow has fed into development feasibility, B2B and consumer marketing, investment strategy and tech implementation across the sectors of real estate and consumer brands, both in the UK and Internationally. He has had the pleasure of working with some of the leading place makers in the world, including Argent, British Land, Canary Wharf, Landsec, Lendlease, McArthurGlen, NewRiver, Pradera Lateral, Sovereign Centros, URW, alongside their funders and other advisors.

He has expanded his role in the last 5 years into the world of Data Science, he has overall responsibility within CACI for consumer and market led Machine Learning which involves supporting clients across areas of segmentation, attribution, econometrics, data strategy, forecasting and tech. Historically, this work at CACI has been direct with brands, but now real estate investors, asset managers and developers have been keen to utilise these techniques to support decisioning.

Georgie Manly, Retail Customer Propositions Director at Landsec

Georgie is responsible for the creative direction, strategy, and delivery of new and enhanced guest experiences across Landsec’s Retail Portfolio. She has extensive experience too, having created world-class customer experiences and brand propositions for FTSE 100 and Fortune 500 companies across many industries, including hospitality, retail, and workplace.

At Landsec she continues to lead her team to enhance the guest experience with new placemaking, services, play areas, and innovative new use of space to drive footfall, dwell, satisfaction, and spend across the schemes – support guests needs and the success of Landsec’s Brand Partners. In addition to leading guest experiences, she recently delivered the new single positioning and principles for Landsec Retail to ensure everything delivered across the portfolio has a Landsec handprint while reflecting the destination’s local areas.
