Vivienne King

Vivienne King, Founder and Managing Director of Impactful Places and Revo Operating Board Member

Over 30 years’ leadership experience in the real estate industry with a track record advocating for environmental and social sustainability. As the former CEO of Revo, the membership organisation for retail property, she supported development of Revo’s Social Value Framework. Prior to 2020, she was CEO of Soho Housing Association providing affordable homes and supporting local needs in London’s West End. With over 20 years at the Crown Estate, as a member of the senior team she was responsible for leadership of its ESG corporate strategy and its innovative measurement tool – Total Contribution. A co-founder of Real Estate Balance, she has been working with industry leaders to drive cultural change and improve equality, diversity and inclusion in real estate.

Oliver Shah

Oliver Shah, Associate Editor and Leader Writer at The Sunday Times 

Oliver Shah is associate editor at The Sunday Times. He was named business journalist of the year at the 2017 Press Awards for his investigation into Sir Philip Green’s £1 sale of BHS. He was also named business journalist of the year at the 2017 London Press Club Awards. His first book, Damaged Goods: The Inside Story of Sir Philip Green, the Collapse of BHS and the Death of the High Street was published by Penguin in June 2018.

Launching new cutting-edge research commissioned by Revo from Trajectory, a leading insight and foresight consultancy on the Government’s Market Research framework and Futures Framework. The research will provide a credible and insightful series of scenarios playing out over the next 10 years in the retail and leisure markets.

Tom Johnson, Managing Director, Trajectory Ltd

Tom is a research and forecaster who’s led futures analysis for consultants Trajectory for nearly 15 years. He’s delivered work on the future of digital technology for the government and long term changes in national and global trends for the British Council, BBC World News, Greene King, Vodafone and Sport England. Tom’s also led  our groundbreaking Time Use studies with the Centre for Time Use at UCL and, at Trajectory, oversees our regular barometer of consumer sentiment, the Optimism Index, which measures short and long term trends in consumer behaviour, values and attitudes.

Sam Cotton (1)

Sam Cotton, Head of Asset Management & Leasing, Battersea Power Station

Sam is an expert in the Built Environment with over 15 years of experience, specialising in mixed-use urban regeneration Asset Management and Leasing, having led the commercial transformation of Battersea Power Station (BPS) in London from development inception to public launch and beyond. Sam has responsibility for all retail, leisure, office and meanwhile components of the live 42 acre £8bn Power Station estate.

Joining BPS in 2015 Sam has led the curation of occupier mix from masterplan inception, delivery of the pre-letting campaign through to public launch in October 2022, taking BPS from a former derelict industrial site to a best in class fully let mixed-use London estate. Before BPS Sam was an instrumental part of the team responsible for the transformation of Covent Garden in London and prior to that was focussed on a €1bn pan-European portfolio for NUVEEN with assets in France, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany and Italy.

Having successfully transitioned BPS from a Development led project to a vibrant consumer, office and residential destination, Sam’s focus is now leading the Asset Management team to drive growth and position BPS as a top global destination. A key accolade was to see Battersea Power Station named as one of the top Cultural Spots in the World for 2024 by National Geographic.

Ojay McDonald

Ojay McDonald, Chief Executive, Association of Town & City Management (ATCM)

Ojay works with government ministers, parliamentarians, UK Cabinet Office, economic development professionals, business leaders and place managers across the UK and Ireland to support town and city centres. He works on a range of policy issues including adaptation to an industrial revolution, tax reform, local government finance, transport, housing, planning, retail, crime, urban regeneration, COVID recovery and the climate emergency.

Ojay is co-chair of the Sector Leaders Group on the High Streets Task Force, a ministerial-led programme supporting town centre regeneration in England. He sits on the London COVID Business Forum, chaired by Mayor Sadiq Khan. He is a board member of the International Downtown Association, an organisation based in Washington D.C that represents urban place management globally. He advises governments, business leaders and place managers across the world on urban economics. He coordinates the secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Town Centres in the UK. And, he supports the Urban Climate Change Research Network to advance knowledge on the relationship between climate change and cities.

Chris Baker

Chris Baker, Portfolio Director UK, Redevco

Chris Baker joined Redevco in August 2021, and was appointed Portfoilo Director for the UK in September 2023. Chris leads the UK portfolio team, which is responsible for asset management, property management, project management and development on behalf of Redevco’s clients across the United Kingdom. Chris believes in putting people and purpose at the heart of any real estate project, with environmental and social responsibility key to making mixed use places for the future.

Chris joined Redevco as an Asset Manager, and prior to this worked at intu plc, in asset management and then as Head of Partnerships – working on strategic thinking for major shopping centres and running key customer accounts for major commercial occupiers. Chris also spent 10 years as a real estate agent in the UK, working at Cushman & Wakefield and niche practice GCW.

Michael Brown (1)

Michael Brown, Director & Co-Founder, Altered Space

Michael is a Co Founder of Altered Space, a Development and Asset Management company focused on mixed use urban regeneration projects with retail at their core.

The business was set up in 2019 and since then Altered Space have been engaged in the successful repositioning and repurposing of two town centre schemes in Sale and Warrington, NW England.

Prior to setting up Altered Space Michael was CEO of a large NI based Prop Co for 9 years with a diverse portfolio of property assets under management across UK & Ireland, preceded by 12 years experience in the commercial banking sector.

Lucy Winterburn (2)

Lucy Winterburn, Director of UK Investment, Savills Investment Management

Lucy has 24 years of experience managing portfolios at Savills IM on a discretionary basis. She joined the industry via the Savills graduate scheme and has worked for Savills IM since its inception.​

Lucy has been Portfolio Manager of the Diageo Pension Trust since 2006 and is a member of various IM committees. She has a wealth of experience overseeing development projects from inception to completion on both a direct and speculative basis through multiple market cycles. Her role includes the provision of strategic advice, valuation and performance analysis as well as originating deals and executing purchases and sales.​

In addition to her full time role at Savills IM, Lucy was appointed to the Board of the Value and Indexed Property Income Trust Plc as a Non-Executive Director in August 2022.

Bruce Findlay (2)

Bruce Findlay, Managing Director for Retail, Landsec

Bruce joined Landsec in December 2020 as Managing Director for Retail. Bruce has over 25 years of consumer brand experience where he’s developed his operational leadership and strategic management skills. He brings a global perspective from his most recent roles; Chief Commercial Officer of Furla and prior to that as the VP Global Retail for Diesel, where he led the brand’s Direct to Consumer business through its transformation from a traditional wholesale manufacturer to a modern Omni-channel retailer.

Joanna McNamara

Joanne McNamara, Executive Vice President – Europe, Oxford Properties

Joanne McNamara is Executive Vice President – Europe of Oxford Properties, a leading global real estate investor, asset manager and business builder. In this role, Jo is responsible for all aspects of Oxford’s business across Europe. Jo is a member of Oxford’s Leadership team, Investment and Executive Committees, and most recently took up a non-executive role at ESR, a Pan-Asian fund management business. Jo was one of Oxford’s first team members in London, joining the European investment team in 2010, and over the past decade has contributed to and led many of the organization’s most significant investment and development transactions. Jo was most recently responsible for the operating performance of Oxford’s European business and leadership of the 40+ person European team.

Prior to joining Oxford, Jo worked in investments and development at leading real estate companies. Jo has a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics (Honours) from Cardiff University and a Master of Science in International Real Estate from the Oxford Brookes University and currently lives in London. She previously received recognition as a PERE Woman of Influence and received a 2021 PERE Award for European Industry figure of the year.

Alberto Esguevillas

Alberto Esguevillas, CEO, Eurofund Group 

A strategic leader with more than 25 years’ international experience within the Real Estate Industry in Asset, Development and Investment Management.
Alberto has led the launch of Eurofund’s platform in the UK securing the acquisition of its first asset in Silverburn, attracting some of the most respected professionals in the industry and developing key JV relationships.

Before joining Eurofund as the CEO for the UK business, Alberto led Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s Italian business, Alberto worked delivering Westfield London’s extension, Westfield Stratford City mixed use projects and headed new business in Europe. Alberto sat in the European Management Team (EMT) for URW and served as a corporate director in a number of URW and JV entities.

Prior to joining Westfield in 2014, Alberto led Internos’ Global Investors (now Principal) pan European platform leading the retail teams and the Iberian offices.

Alberto moved to London in 2004 to continue his career with Lend Lease.

Alberto has a Masters in Industrial engineering, ICAI (Madrid) and an MBA by London Business School.

Barry Cox

Barry Cox, Managing Director, Pradera Lateral

Managing Director at Pradera.  Barry joined Pradera in 2016 to lead the introduction of new leisure concepts into the assets managed by the joint venture between Pradera and Macquarie Capital in China. He previously held a Business Development role with Merlin Entertainments Group and was based in Hong Kong for more than 10 years.  Barry relocated to the UK in 2019 to focus on identifying distressed and debt structure investment opportunities in the retail sector in the UK and mainland Europe on behalf of Pradera.  He has been involved in over ten separate investment transactions totalling more than £250 million in equity investment.
