Meet The Speakers.

Taylor Wescoatt, General Partner, Concrete VC

Taylor brought 20 years of digital problem solving to Real Estate with the creation of Concrete VC. Concrete’s solution providing both advisory and investment help to some of the world’s largest Real Estate players is unique in Europe. Starwood, Nuveen, JLL, SEGRO, Argent, Greystar, Clifford Chance, Lockton Insurance, and others all turn to Concrete to help them see further, and to better understand what’s going on in the early stage real estate technology space. Concrete has made 26 investments to date, including stars like LandTech, Measurabl, and Matterport. Prior to Concrete, Taylor was a leading expert in Product Development, working startups and larger businesses like eBay, AOL, and TimeOut. Taylor grew up in Hawaii, got is undergrad from ArtCenter in Pasadena, his MBA from INSEAD in Paris, and now lives in London with his family. 

Reem El Khatib, MSc, ACII, SCRM, Risk and Research Manager, Assistant Vice President, Lockton 

Reem has over 4 years’ experience in the insurance industry and leads the risk and research capability at Lockton. She is responsible for identifying and assessing potential emerging risks across industries and examining available risk management and insurance solutions for clients. She provides client-specific emerging risk research and advisory support. 

 She has authored various white papers and curated several risk forums and workshops around emerging risk themes. Major areas of research and interest include, but is not limited to, sustainability transition, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and geopolitical tensions. Reem is an Honorary Visiting Fellow in the Faculty of Actuarial Science & Insurance at Bayes Business School.  She is also an active member of Lockton’s Global Emerging Risk team, ESG Committee, AI Working Group, and Innovation group.   

Ross Powell, Tech Account Management, Property Management, JLL 

From the early days of property .dot Coms, to the first property smartphone apps, to AI in property services – Ross has over 20 years experience in every aspect of digital property services. Having worked with all of the big names in the UK, Ross has just completed his 10 year anniversary at JLL, heading up the commercial property management technology offering in UK, Europe and middle east at an exciting time. Ross works with clients and business to realise best value from the technology available as well as spotting the road ahead for digital buildings and services and supporting client agendas through the leading tech offering of JLLT. 

Alex McCulloch, Director, CACI Ltd 

Alex is a Director at CACI, who are market leaders in using cutting edge technology to understand people and how they engage with places. We use consumer data, spatial intelligence and AI to turn complex data into action. Alex leads innovation across CACI and specialises in devising innovative tech and data solutions for the property market.
