This prestigious event will recognise, honour and celebrate those who are adapting and leading the way forward. At it’s core, The Revo’s is all about celebrating excellence and we can’t wait to reward the outstanding people, places and spaces who have demonstrated excellence in the built environment.  We are excited to welcome over 200 attendees from across the retail, leisure, property and placemaking industry. The Restoration of an Icon

Immerse yourself in a space that once pulsed with the energy that powered a city. This room, the heartbeat of London, managed a fifth of the capital’s electricity, including even the regal Buckingham Palace. Decommissioned in 1975, it lay dormant, a forgotten treasure.

Thanks to the meticulous restoration efforts of renowned architects WilkinsonEyre and a close partnership with Historic England, Control Room A has been resurrected from its slumber. Witness the resurrection of original switchboards, control panels, and machinery, restored to their former glory. Experience the magic of 1930’s paint colors replicated with digital precision, and marvel at the intricacy of 3D-printed knobs and buttons that once guided the city. 

Underfoot, teak parquet floors whisper tales of a bygone era. Marble finishings exude a timeless splendor, while an awe-inspiring gold-coffered glass ceiling bathes the room in a warm, golden glow. This is Art Deco at its most authentic, a living testament to an era of unparalleled style and sophistication.
