Why did you want to enter The Revo’s? 

The Revo’s are the esteemed awards for the property industry, celebrating excellence in the build environment. We have been involved in a number of successful projects over the years, with both shortlisted and winning entries for a range of schemes, we are delighted that we have been able to replicate this for another year. For one of our projects to be recognised and nominated by our piers is a great compliment to the team at Rawls and the work we do.

What makes your entry standout?

Eccleston Street is not a shopping centre, its part of a sustainable refurbishment initiative to an existing shopping street. We developed a new vision to create one of the most colourful and vibrant streets in London and implemented it through new innovative retail fitouts, new and refurbished shopfronts, a bright bold street palette, alfresco seating, art pieces and greening initiatives. With a strong focus on local and independent operators, these interventions have created a gear change from the adjacent Buckingham Palace Road, making Eccleston Street a vibrant, active streetscape that has been implemented to the highest standards and in line with Grosvenors strict Sustainability Goals.

How do you envision the future of your industry, and how do you hope to contribute to it?

Circular Economy and Sustainability is going to quite rightly be top of the agenda. With less in the way of new builds coming out of the ground, there is going to be a continued focus on refurbishing and repurposing what we already have. Rawls have vast experience in this from our work with a number of different clients over the years but this is a process that can’t stand still, we are all learning and developing new and more sustainable ways which we and our clients can operate all the time. We will look to use our learned knowledge and experience to help improve what our clients are able to implement, helping to create a brighter, more sustainable future.
