“I joined GCW as a graduate following completion of my Geography undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh in September 2023. I am currently eight months into my role and I am studying for my MSc in Property Development at The University of Westminster simultaneously.

Another Revo Hub committee member brought Revo to my attention at the end of last year and I subsequently attended the webinar titled, ‘Sustainability in Asset Valuations’. I was over the moon to have found a forum that aligned with my interests in urban place-making and sustainability that I was so fascinated with during my undergraduate study. My dissertation titled ‘Dreaming of Princess Street’: An Exploration into the Lived Experience of Women in the Urban Environment of Edinburgh’ explored how the built environment, specifically the city centre, impacts the daily experience of young women. Therefore, the innovative discussions at Revo about the future of the urban environment does not only interest me from a professional point of view, but also from an academic one.

While membership provides me with the platform to expand my network, broaden my industry knowledge and attend some amazing educational events, being a member of the committee provides an invaluable opportunity for me to be at the forefront of inspiring conversations about retail, especially at this early stage of my career. While working at a small firm is fantastic and I have been given wide range of responsibilities, I looking forward to collaborating with a wider spectrum of professionals, not just surveyors, who have different experiences and stakes in the industry.”
