Revo Repurposing & Regeneration Committee: Latest Planning Update
Activity on the planning reform front continues at pace with the Planning and Infrastructure Bill which was published on 11th March 2025. The Bill is central to the Government’s plan to, ‘get Britain building again and deliver economic growth.’ Time is of the essence for the Government and planning reform is an important lever to generate growth.
As we have come to expect the emphasis of reform remains on the delivery of new homes and critical infrastructure but there is much within the Bill that is relevant to the planning and development of our town centres. In this Planning Update members of the Repurposing and Regeneration Committee provide their reflections on what measures proposed in the Bill might mean for those involved in developing town centres and urban regeneration in the future.
